Mr. Godbout has over 8 years of investment banking experience advising both public and privately held companies across a wide range of constituents, including management teams, boards of directors, equity investors, and private business owners. He specializes in structuring and arranging financing for mergers & acquisitions, including cross-border, leveraged buyouts, refinancing’s and dividend recapitalization.
Prior to rejoining Carl Marks, Mr. Godbout worked as a private equity investor in the special situations underwriting group at Summit Investment Management. During this time, he closed a number of investments across various industries, and executed several asset divestitures in the portfolio. Mr. Godbout initially worked at Carl Marks Securities from 2015 to 2018.
Mr. Godbout holds an MBA from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management, and a BA from the University of Western Ontario. He is a FINRA Registered Representative.
